Lady Diana’s Memorial Medal‏

Her sudden death on August 31st, 1997 has affected her fans all over the world.
Her dear friend Elton John rewrote the lyrics of his famous 1973 song “Candle in the wind”, originally dedicated to Marilyn Monroe, and sang “Goodbye England’s Rose” at her funeral, moving millions of people that watched the event broadcasted on television worldwide.

We created a memorial medal in her honour, under the authorisation of the Royal Family and produced by the British Royal Mint, to celebrate the memory of a Princess who was loved and seen as an inspiration by people from all over the world. The medal is made of silver 999.9/1000 and it shows on one side the profile of Princess Diana and a rose on the other.

The design is a work of Robert Elderton, nominated as one of 100 British Great Craftsman.
