Miura Japan Co. Ltd

Miura Japan Co. Ltd was founded in 1952 by Miura Sansho. Initially, the company focused on processing raw crystals, particularly quartz, which is abundant in the Kofu region at the heart of Yamanashi Prefecture. Miura Sansho primarily produced quartz bracelets for Buddhists. The arrival of his son-in-law Akira from Tokyo, however, led to a significant transformation. Through internal reorganization, Akira revolutionized the business, driving substantial growth.

From its origins in crystal processing, Miura Japan expanded and relocated part of its activities to Italy. From there, the company imports various types of jewelry – including chains, coins, bracelets, earrings, and pins – made of gold, silver, and platinum, into Japan.

In 1994, in collaboration with the Cook Islands government, Miura Japan began producing 24-karat gold coins minted by the British Royal Mint, which could also be worn as pendants.

This collection, known as the “Mother’s Love Coin” features the head of the New Zealand dollar on one side and endangered animals with their offsprings on the other. These coins are sold in Japan, Asia, and the U.S.
